What is Ekhaya Rising?
At Ekhaya Rising, our mission is to empower children and young people across rural communities in Zimbabwe and South Africa through education, mentorship, and dignity-centred support. We believe that sustainable development begins at home with initiatives that are personal, locally driven, and built on trust. Guided by the values of Ubuntu, we aim to create opportunities that nurture potential and inspire long-term growth for every child we reach.
How we make a difference
We believe in monitoring the child's progress, ensuring that they receive the right assistance. Not every child is the same, and not every school is the same therefore we put people at the foundation of our work. This is why we do not seek to grow beyond assisting more than 10 children in one class.
